What an online session covers, and what we refer

We work on the breast, the nipple and the feed. When a problem sits anywhere else, we send you to the right person rather than guess.

We work on

  • Latch, positioning, and how the milk actually transfers
  • Low milk supply worries, engorgement and blocked ducts
  • Mastitis, and painful or damaged nipples
  • Whether a medicine is safe to take while nursing, and when to check with your own doctor
  • Pumping, going back to work, and weaning gently

We refer

  • If a red flag appears in your baby, you are referred to our pediatrician, usually the same day.
  • If we suspect a breast abscess, we refer you for imaging and a surgical review.
  • When a problem is not a feeding problem, we name it and point you to the right person.

    Message us on WhatsApp with one line about what is going wrong, and we find you a time, often the same week.

  2. We watch a feed together

    On the call we watch the baby feed, go through the history properly, and work through the latch, the positioning and your comfort.

  3. You leave with a written plan

    You get a clear, personalised feeding plan in writing, and one follow-up so you are not left alone with it.

A great deal of it can. On video we watch a full feed, the latch, your positioning, and the baby’s suck and swallow, and we look at the state of the nipple. Most feeding problems are worked out from exactly these things. Where something genuinely needs hands or a scan, we say so plainly and point you to in-person care.

Yes. That is the whole point of this service. We run online lactation consultation by video for families anywhere in India, in English or Hindi. If you happen to be in Gurugram and would rather come in, we also see you in clinic.

Yes. Your session is with Dr. Nonita Dudeja, MBBS, MD, an Advanced Certified Lactation Professional (ACLP). She provides lactation consultation and breastfeeding support, and the KinderCure pediatric clinic, led by Dr. Garima Mengi, sits behind her.

Very often, yes. We watch a feed, work through what is getting in the way, and take some of the fear out of it, because a lot of low-supply worry turns out to be latch and feeding rhythm rather than the body itself. Some mothers do have a genuine supply problem that needs a proper assessment, and we are honest with you about which one it looks like.
